Wurth Electronics Bluetooth® Smart Modules employ Bluetooth Smart technology. The Bluetooth Smart technology was previously called Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and is a part of the Bluetooth Core Specification from Bluetooth v4.0. These modules enable Bluetooth wireless connectivity to low cost and small battery operated devices that require months or years of battery life. The Bluetooth Smart modules incorporate Bluetooth wireless technology into watches, proximity tags, sports and fitness sensors, healthcare sensors, and remote controls.
